Ksenia Sukhinova, 21 yrs young (born 1987) in Tyumen, Russia, was crowned the new Miss World 2008. Kseniawho is 1.78m in height, has won Miss Russia 2007 pageant on December 14 in Moscow. She beat 50 other contestants from all over Russia.

The 1st runner-up was Miss India, Parvathy Omanakuttan and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Trinidad & Tobago,Gabrielle Walcott with Miss Angola,Brigith dos Santos and Miss South Africa,Tansey Coetzee as finalists.

The 58th Miss World Contest was a record breaking year in the number of contestants taking part where 109 beautiful and talented contestants spend an unforgettable month in South Africa.This year Final was broadcast in 187 countries and 373 TV stations.
