ANGELINA JOLIE's TATOOs

Angelina has said of the cross she had inked on her hip bone the day before she married Johnny Lee Miller in 1995 "...it was a good thing, nothing dark." The Latin phrase next to it reads "Quod me nutrit me destruit", meaning "What nourishes me, destroys me."

Angelina Jolie replaced her lasered 'Billy Bob' tattoo with the geographical coordinates of the locations where her children were born.

This rune style tattoo is the letter 'h' and is believed to remind her of brother, James Haven.

This tattoo is a quote from Tennessee Williams reads, "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages" that Angelina had done in the presense of late mother, Marcheline..

This tattoo reads XIII V MCMXL. XIII is the Roman numeral for 'unlucky number 13' and reflects Angelina's non-belief in superstitions. V MCMXL refers to 13 May 1940, the date that Winston Churchill said in a famous speech, "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat".

This Gothic letter tattoo says "Know Your Rights" and is the title of a song of her favorite band The Clash.

This is a Buddhist Pali incantation written the language of Cambodia which translates as; "May your enemies run far away from you. If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always. Your beauty will be that of Apsara. Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides." Angelina had this inking done in a Thailand to protect her and adopted Cambodian son Maddox from bad luck.

This Arabic script tattoo covers up another Billy Bob-inspired tat and means "Determination".

Angelina's had her biggest inking- this 12-inch long, 8-inch wide Bengal tiger tattoo - done in Bangkok in 2004 to celebrate her Cambodian citizenship.
